Fix one PDF for accessibility (Section 508 / PDF/UA)
Send one PDF. If its only machine defects are the title, the language or the tagged flag, we fix those inside your original file (Tier A). Otherwise we return a rebuilt, tagged accessible edition (Tier B). Either way you get the veraPDF report and the limits stated plainly. One fixed price from the prices below, confirmed in writing before any work starts. No calls.

What you get
- Tier A: your original file, fixed in place. When the only machine defects are the title, the language or the tagged flag, we fix those inside your file and prove nothing else changed (same pages, identical content streams, fonts and images). The report lists every machine failure that remains.
- Tier B: accessible tagged edition. An untagged or scanned file is rebuilt with tag structure, reading order, headings, lists, tables with header scopes, document language and your title. It is a new edition, not your original file: the edition note is on its cover and in its metadata, and a page crosswalk and word diff come with it because the page count can change.
- veraPDF PDF/UA-1 validation report. The file is validated with veraPDF 1.30.3 (PDF/UA-1 profile) before it is sent, and the report comes with it.
- Delivery time. Delivered within 10 business days of acceptance.
We deliver your fixed original file (Tier A) or the accessible edition (Tier B), with its veraPDF PDF/UA-1 validation report. Whether your document meets Section 508 or any other standard is a claim for you, the document owner, to make. No compliance guarantee is offered or implied.
Fixed price, per document

Limits, stated plainly
What the automated pass does not do (stated in every verification report):
- Tier A changes only the document title, language and tagged flag; page content, fonts, images and the tag tree are untouched.
- Marking a file tagged does not check the quality of its tags (reading order, headings, table headers, alternative text).
- Every machine failure that remains after the fix is listed by rule and count in the report.
- Heading levels and lists are inferred from font size, weight and bullet glyphs (at most 6 inferred headings per page).
- Figure alt text is derived from a nearby caption or the preceding heading, not from the image itself; uncaptioned figures are flagged for a person to describe.
- Data tables are detected from ruling lines and tagged with column headers (and row headers when the first column holds labels); unruled tables, merged cells and multi-level headers may need a manual pass.
- veraPDF PDF/UA-1 pass is a machine check of PDF/UA-1 requirements, not a full Section 508 audit.
The verification report counts the figures and tables that may need a manual pass, so you can see them before you rely on the file.
